Bean Counters

A bean counter is someone who nitpicks numbers and is overly concerned with controlling expenses.

But that's not how the phrase started.

Bean counters were really...um...bean counters. In the 19th century, when beans were sold, someone had to actually count how many went into a bag. Now, of course, this process is done by machines.

Although the term 'bean counter' has some negativity surrounding it, the idea of counting out each bean to ensure accuracy is commendable.

How about if we take that idea into the process of writing your life story?

Are you counting out-- and enjoying-- each moment of your life and adding it to your life story?

Every minute is adding up to your destiny; make the most of them.
